Light and heat
Your first infrared sauna session: what to expect

Infrared panels warm the body directly. Your skin warms, you begin to sweat, your heart rate rises slightly and blood flow to the skin improves.
What you may notice
Many people find the heat relaxing. It can loosen muscles and ease stress, and it is used as part of recovery routines and healthy-ageing plans.
Planning a first visit
- Tell the team about your health conditions and medicines first
- Drink water before and after
- Start with a shorter session and build up if you feel comfortable
- Say so straight away if you feel dizzy or unwell
Controlled heat exposure is gentle for many people, but it is not right for everyone. Your doctor will advise you.
See the infrared sauna page for details.
